THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW THEORETICAL DESIGN
Written by Richard O'Brien 1'-0"=/4" Scale" The Rocky Horror Show" is a tragic tale told by a community, but orchestrated by one out of control megalomaniac craving to create the perfect piece of art, Rocky. And in this tale, lies a memory play, as the narrator, one of “the Artist’s” former lovers, describes the past he witnessed and escaped from. All these years later, he feels like an outsider looking into a distant window. Brad and Janet enter this world of freaks that is taboo to them, until they realize they aren’t too dissimilar from them. A sense of danger and entrapment is felt as they are locked in this studio with no way out, and everything is not as it initially seems, as the room itself starts to come alive. With each number, we feel as though we are getting closed in further and further, until the end, where there’s a path out of this place.
